Do you see too many places to eat pizza and don’t know which one to choose? Here you will find the best pizzerias in Medellín and the metropolitan area.
From varied options in prices and location to types of preparations, each one offers you unparalleled gastronomic experiences around pizza.
Top 16 pizzerias in Medellín
To make this selection I based myself on the lists of winners of the Pizza Master (from its beginnings to the last contest), also on different portals such as TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, Medellin Guru and, finally, on my own criteria as a resident of Medellín, since I have been exploring the city for many years in search of its most delicious pizzas.
That’s why you’ll see that all of the pizzerias below have something that makes them special. And several are even true hidden gems since, in addition to Poblado and Laureles, they are located in other sectors such as Centro, Aranjuez, La Floresta, Buenos Aires and even Santa Elena.

Vesuvio – the current champion

The crazy dream of two friends made a hidden garage in Patio Bonito become the new great revelation of pizzerias in Medellín. Hence, Vesuvio has been chosen as the winner of the last Pizza Master in 2023.
Its flagship creation is “Porky Jack’s”, which brings together an elegant contrast of flavors between sweet, spicy, creamy and a crunchy texture in each bite. But behind its success there is much more, because all its preparations are born from creativity by combining unexpected ingredients.
And that passion for novelty is present even in the restaurant’s atmosphere, since this is the only pizzeria on the list where you can find a live show by pizzaiolos, who will surely surprise you with their pirouettes of dough flying in the air.
Location: Carrera 47A # 5-70, in Patio Bonito, El Poblado (behind Las Vegas Av.).
Hours: Monday – Thursday from 3pm to 10pm / Friday and Saturday from 12:30pm to 11pm / Sundays from 12:30pm to 10pm.
Prices: between 30,000 COP and 51,000 COP.
Home delivery: yes (on Rappi).
Montés Porchetteria – The best option for pork fans

This is the first Porchetteria in Colombia, where its specialty is pork that is matured and roasted in the oven over low heat for several hours. There they prepare this product in salads, pizzas and sandwiches that are inspired by Italian tradition, but have their own stamp with local flavor.
My recommendations are the Sorrento sandwich and the Gorgonzola and pear pizza; the latter with a dough matured in the Neapolitan style, crispy and at the same time inflated in the crust, as if each portion was breathing, releasing an explosion of sensations on your palate.
Location: it has 2 locations. One in the Poblado sector, Manila at 13th Street # 43d-27. And another in the Carmen de Viboral municipality on race 31 # 31-53.
Hours (Medellín headquarters): Wednesday – Thursday from 12 to 8:30pm / Friday to Saturday from 12 to 10pm / Sundays from 1 to 8:30pm.
Prices: range between 30,000 COP and 60,000 COP (except for special preparations that may be more expensive). The size of their dishes is generous and designed to share.
Home delivery: yes.
Café Zorba – Best veggie pizza

This is the favorite option for vegetarians and vegans, since Zorba specializes in the preparation of this type of pizza and they have a lot of variety in their ingredients. On the other hand, it highlights its cozy atmosphere and the bohemian touch that its live concerts give it every week.
My recommendation is the spinach pizza, with a macadamia cream base so delicious it will make you forget the fact that there is no cheese at all. I also advise you to arrive very early or, failing that, be prepared to wait, since the place is usually very busy and there is a line to enter.
Location: Calle 8 # 42-33, in El Poblado, next to La Presidenta park.
Hours: Sunday – Thursday from 5pm to 10pm / Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 10:30pm.
Prices: between 30,000 COP and 45,000 COP.
Home delivery: no.
Pizzaiolo

The name of this pizzeria is an Italian term that is equivalent to pizza maker. Here they are very aware of the artisanal legacy that has been around for centuries and transform it into something contemporary and vibrant. Which is why Pizzaiolo has been among the best restaurants of the last 2 Pizza Masters.
One of their pizzas to highlight is the Pastore, which precisely invents a very curious mixture with the traditional Neapolitan dough and the typical ingredients of tacos al pastor, creating an unprecedented delight among the pizzerias of Medellín.
Location: only headquarters in Poblado, Vía Primavera. Calle 8a #37-08.
Hours: every day from 4 to 10pm.
Home delivery: yes.
Hasta La Pizza Baby

From the very name this pizzeria reveals itself as a fresh and fun proposal. Not for nothing is it in the heart of Provence, the most festive area of the entire city. Here you can find pizzas with quite curious mixtures of ingredients, but always delicious.
My recommendation is Nutella and Strawberries, with which I verified that pizza can also be perfect as a dessert.
Location: Carrera 35 # 8a-81, Provenza Poblado.
Hours: Monday to Wednesday from 4pm to 10pm / Thursday to Sunday from 4pm to 2am / holidays from 3pm to 12am.
Prices: between 29,000 COP and 58,000 COP.
Home delivery: yes (on Rappi).
Pane e Pomodoro – The original Italian pizza

This is the traditional flavor of southern Italy in Medellín, so much so that its founder Giancarlo Mazzarino imports many of his ingredients directly from the European boot and preserves the learnings of his homeland in the recipes. Pane e Pomodoro’s pizza, more than food, is a culinary journey.
Therefore, apart from trying their delicious Crudo Burrata pizza, I recommend that you take home the fresh products that many other pizzaiolos and restaurants in Medellín also use in their preparations.
Location: Carrera 73 # 5-6, in the Laureles sector near the First Park.
Hours: Sunday – Thursday from 12 to 9:45pm / Friday and Saturday from 12 to 10:45pm.
Prices: between 25,000 COP and 55,000 COP, their pizzas are 30cm and come divided into 6 portions.
Home delivery: yes.
Simons Pizza&Beer

This option among the pizzerias in Medellín is designed as the perfect place to meet with friends and have some fun. Here, in addition to offering delicious pizzas, live concerts are held that liven up the night to create unforgettable moments.
Simons pizzas stand out because they bring a copious mix of ingredients in a rich, crispy and cheesey dough. That’s why I recommend trying their Mexican pizza, which has jalapeño, meat, corn and paprika. A whole train of flavor with its spicy and tasty touch.
Location: it has 2 locations. One in Laureles, circular 75 #39b-130. And the other in the Buenos Aires neighborhood, 49th street #33-39.
Hours: Sunday to Thursday from 12 to 9:30pm / Friday and Saturday from 12 to 10:30pm
Bigotes – German artisan pizzeria

It is a small restaurant chain with several locations in the country. It has been a sensation since its appearance due to the new concept they brought of German pizzas, which have a fairly thick dough and an abundant and juicy cheese base in all their preparations.
In short, this is the pizza for you if you want to eat a lot at a reasonable price. My recommendation is the Bigotes pizza with German bacon, cream cheese and jalapenos (their traditional recipe).
Being so popular, if you go to their headquarters at Carlos E. there may be a long wait before being served.
Location (Medellín headquarters): Calle 53 # 64a-39, in the Carlos E. neighborhood.
Hours: Monday to Sunday from 12 to 11pm.
Prices: vary depending on the size of the pizza and the number of ingredients. The personal size can cost between 21,000 COP (1 ingredient) and 27,000 COP (4 ingredients).
Home delivery: yes (they are free and it is advisable to schedule them well in advance).
Ammazza Gin Garden

This culinary gem from Medellín fuses the art of pizza with the elegance of gin. Its unique proposal stands out for its mastery of pairing and elevates the gastronomic experience to another level. Which is reflected in the sophisticated environments of its 3 headquarters in Laureles, Provenza and Mall Indiana.
Although there are better ones on their menu, I want to recommend the Hawaiian pizza, partly because of how controversial this recipe is for many, and also because they give it a special touch with smoked bacon that I loved.
Location: https://ammazza.cluvi.co/branch-offices
Hours: https://ammazza.cluvi.co/branch-offices
Prices: between 35,000 COP and 70,000 COP
Home delivery: yes.
Ragazzi – Pizza Master’s two times champion

Ragazzi had a brilliant time at the Pizza Master in its 2018 and 2019 versions, winning first place in those 2 consecutive years. One of its most captivating features is that the pizza is baked in a pan and they use sourdough to make it, which makes it stand out among the pizzerias in Medellín.
I recommend any of their champions, whether it’s the Mediterranean with pepperoni, smoked bacon, serrano ham and basil; or the Florencia, which has Genoa salami, bacon dip, tamarind reduction in Jack Daniels honey and basil.
Location: It has offices in Envigado, Sabaneta and Medellín. The one in Medellín is on Calle 38 # 76-06, Laureles neighborhood.
Hours (Laureles headquarters): every day from 12 to 10pm / Friday and Saturday from 12 to 11pm.
Prices: depends on whether it is a personal or couple’s pizza. In my opinion, the personal ones are somewhat small, so to eat well, the couple ones can cost between 50,000 COP and 62,000 COP.
Home delivery: yes.
Romero – Italian artisan cuisine

Regarding artisanal pizzas, Romero is one of the most widespread brands within the metropolitan area, since it has 5 different locations distributed in El Poblado, Laureles, Belén and Envigado. I would describe it more as an Italian restaurant chain in its entirety.
There the pizzas are only a small part of the wide variety of dishes you can order. But they definitely deserve a mention on the list for their thin dough and very high quality ingredients that achieve quite refined preparations.
Location: https://www.romerococinartesanal.com.co/sedes
Hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 11am to 9pm / Friday and Saturday from 11am to 9:30pm
Prices: between 30,000 COP and 60,000 COP.
Home delivery: yes.
Burro Pizzería – The winner in La Floresta

Burro, which started as such in a neighborhood of Envigado, became famous after winning the first Pizza Master of Medellín in 2017 with its Sailor Jerry BBQ. Since then the pizzeria has grown, being chosen on 2 other occasions as one of the best pizzerias in Medellín.
And although its chef Gabriel Jaime Gómez Quintero (better known as @gabo_cocina) has not stopped innovating throughout this time, my recommendation remains the Sailor Jerry BBQ. It comes with mozzarella, bacon, cream cheese, BBQ sauce and lettuce mix.
Location: it has 3 locations; two of them in Envigado and one in Medellín that is located on transversal 45d # 85-29, next to La Floresta Park.
Hours (La Floresta headquarters): Sunday to Thursday from 12:30 to 10pm / Friday and Saturday from 12:30 to 10pm
Prices: vary depending on size. Medium pizzas cost between 30,000 COP and 55,000 COP.
Home delivery: yes.
Pizzería Centro – A local tradition

It is one of the most traditional artisanal pizzerias in Medellín. It was founded approximately 17 years ago and, although the place is recognized in the city, it has preserved that essence of a hidden corner that its loyal visitors fall in love with.
I highly recommend trying the Pugliese with olives, onion and tomato. As well as book before you go, since the place is very popular and there are some negative reviews on the internet from clients who have to wait too long to be served when they come without prior notice.
Location: 57th Street # 41-57, in the Center near Boston Park.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 12:15 to 10pm
Home delivery: no.
Rusto Pizza – Cheap and delicious

In addition to offering the cheapest prices on the list, Rusto is the only pizzeria in the top that specializes in pizza al Taglio. Its portions are square, the dough is very spongy as well as crunchy and, no matter what you choose, any preparation is ready instantly: slow cooking for busy people.
Their combinations of ingredients are quite creative and it seems incredible that you can buy this type of pizza for so little money. I recommend that you go to their headquarters in Junín, order different preparations to take away and eat them while you walk down that beautiful downtown boulevard.
Location: there are two locations, both in the Center. The first is in Junín, right between Parque Bolívar and the Depapayita fruit store. The second is on Calle 54 # 45-15, next to Profamilia.
Schedule:
Junín Headquarters: Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm / Sundays and holidays from 12 to 6pm
Caracas Headquarters: Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm / Saturday from 9am to 2:30pm
Prices: the portion costs between 6,500 COP and 8,500 COP. Personally, I was full with 2 potions and a drink, all for less than 20,000 COP
Home delivery: yes (they are free but only in Downtown area).
Buona Pizza y Pasta – Aranjuez best pizza

Here we have another of the winners of the Pizza Master 2023. Buona was a pleasant surprise for me among the pizzerias in Medellín because it is located in Campo Valdes, a neighborhood where the varied and quality gastronomic offer is growing very fast.
I recommend trying the Fortunato, with which they participated in the Pizza Master and which has an edge filled with cheese, crispy bacon, almonds, arugula and ribs in a cape gooseberry reduction.
Location: Carrera 48a # 76-35, Campo Valdes neighborhood.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 5pm to 11:30pm / Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 1pm to 11:30pm.
Prices: between 21,000 COP and 65,000 COP
Home delivery: no.
Bicipizza – Santa Elena’s best pizza

We close the top with a hidden gem in the middle of the Santa Elena forest. It is a quiet and intimate place, perfect for a getaway from the urban hustle and bustle. I have no doubt that when you try the pizza you will realize that it was completely worth taking the journey there.
Although if you are not in the mood for adventure and prefer to stay in the city, they also have a location in Laureles where the pizza is the same: thin, toasted and generous in its ingredients. Wherever, my recommendation is the Ciclobi pizza with burrata, accompanied by one of their artisan beers.
Location: the headquarters in Santa Elena is within the El Placer path (you can search for it on Google Maps and it will take you straight). The headquarters in the Laureles neighborhood is on Av. Jardín # 39b-137.
Schedule:
Laureles Headquarters: Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday and holiday Monday from 12 to 9pm / Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 to 10pm.
Santa Elena Headquarters: Thursday to Sunday and holiday Monday from 12:30 to 9pm
Prices: between 40,000 COP and 65,000 COP
Home delivery: yes.
Other pizzerias on the outskirts of Medellín
Are you looking for pizzerias outside of Medellín? In the metropolitan area there are other cities that increasingly have a more varied gastronomic offer of amazing quality. That is why the following pizzerias have also been winners of the Pizza Master or have been famous for quite some time in the Aburrá valley.
Corrientes

The restaurant is a magical place whose atmosphere will transport you to Europe, as it retains the essence of some cities such as Rome, Paris or Madrid. It is located on Calle Jardín, which is a gastronomic mecca in Envigado. And their pizza prepared in a magnificent rotating oven will make you delirious.
It was chosen among the best in Pizza Master during 2018 and 2019. So I recommend spending a romantic evening there eating one of the award-winning ones. Or you can also choose another dish to pair with a good wine from their menu that includes pasta and grill.
Location: Calle Jardín in Envigado. Carrera 45 # 29 sur-24
Hours: Monday to Thursday from 12 to 3pm and then from 6pm to 10pm / Friday and Saturday from 12 to 12am / Sunday from 12 to 10pm.
Prices: between 30,000 COP and 60,000 COP.
Home delivery: no.
Bianco Pizza

Here we have another of the representatives of Envigado who was chosen in the top of the Pizza Master 2019. And let me tell you that their pizza with puffed dough with a burnt crust and delicate body has nothing to envy of the rest of the top.
In short, it is a very good option if you want to try something different while being south of the metropolitan area. My recommendation is their blackberry pizza, an iconic house preparation with parmesan, buffalo mozzarella and caramelized blackberries that gives it a sweet and exquisite nod.
Location: Calle 31 sur # 43a-33, Envigado.
Hours: Monday from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm / Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 pm – 10:30 pm / Sundays: 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
Prices: between 40,000 COP and 45,000 COP
Home delivery: no.
La Propia – Bello’s best pizza

In the city of Bello, this pizzeria is the one that won fourth place in the Pizza Master in 2022 and recently participated again with the Patrona. This has a Neapolitan base, buffalo mozzarella, smoked bacon, mushrooms in sweet jelly, parmesan, basil and chicharroncitos.
Location: 24a street #55-4, in Cabañitas – Bello.
Hours: Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 10:30pm / Friday to Saturday from 12 to 11:30pm / Sunday from 12 to 10:30pm.
Prices: pizzas can be personal size (20cm) or medium (32cm). Based on that, personal ones cost between 19,000 COP and 42,000 COP.
Home delivery: yes.
